Packard was the first car company to have a steering wheel in a production car in 1901 AND to offer air conditioning in 1939. Packard had one of the first production 12-cylinder engines, adapted from developing the Liberty L-12 engine used during World War I to power warplanes.

The vehicle's engine was a revolutionary design for its time, being the first mass-produced, affordable V8. 12,597 of these 2-door vehicles were manufactured but few remain in this pristine condition with a 4-bar suspension, shale metallic paint and a purple grey leather interior.

Vehicle reminiscent of cars from the 1930's "Great Gatsby".  A total of 887 cars were manufactured between 1928 & 1936 by the Auburn Automobile Company of Auburn, Indiana. The car was styled by designer Gordon Buehrig, has external side-threaded exhaust pipes and is the iconic Auburn "Hollywood car" with a "boattail" design and beautiful sweeping body lines.
